Cutting the Fabric
Green/yellow

Step 1. Referring to
Diagram I, stitch together green/yellow print 26 1/2" x 40 1/2"
rectangle, dark green print 1 1/4" x 40 1/2" strip, and
gold print 9 1/2" x 40 1/2" strip. Make 2. Fold in half
(right sides together) as illustrated by dashed line in diagram.
Step 2.
Using 1/4" seam allowance, stitch layers together along 2 sides
as shown in Diagram II-A.
Step 3. At open end (gold), fold
1/4" to wrong side (see Diagram II-B); press. Turn 1/2 remaining
width of gold to wrong side, covering gold/dark green seam allowance
(II-C); press. Pin to hold in place. Turn pillowcase right side out.
Topstitch along edge of gold at gold/dark green seam (on right side),
being sure to catch folded edge of gold that was turned/pinned to
wrong side of case (II-D). Make 2 pillowcases.
