What a great technique! Susan's ornament shapes are cut from strip-pieced fabric units, giving them added interest with no added appliqué work.
You Need:
Black/red dot (inner border, ornaments) 1/4 yd.
Tan texture (background) 1 fat quarter*
Black poinsettia print (outer border, binding) 3/4 yd.
Red texture and gold texture (ornaments) 1/8 yd. each
Green stripe (ornaments) 8" x 10" piece
Assorted green textures (holly) 1/8 - 1/4 yd. total
Backing 7/8 yd.
Paper-backed fusible web 1/2 yd.
Batting 26" x 35" piece
8 red buttons, 1/2"
