Step 3. Sew squares together to make Leaf Block (Diagram III). Make 2.

Step 4. Trace Templates A and B on paper side of paper-backed fusible web. Cut apart, leaving small margin beyond drawn lines. Following manufacturer's instructions, fuse to wrong side of appropriate fabrics; cut apart on drawn lines.
Step 5. Finger-press beige 6 1/2" square in half on both length and width; use folds as placement guide. Referring to Diagram IV, position template fabrics. Following manufacturer's instructions, fuse in place to make Flower Block. Make 1. By machine or hand (Diagram V) buttonhole stitch appliqué edges to finish.

Step 6. Note: Setting triangles on all edges and corners are cut oversized to allow trimming table runner edges even after assembly. Referring to Assembly Diagram, sew diagonal rows using beige quarter-square triangles and blocks. Sew beige half-square triangles to corners. Trim edges even. Sew orange 1 1/2" x 30" strips to long sides; trim even. Stitch remaining orange strips to short sides; trim even. Sew green print 4" x 32" strips to long sides; trim even. Stitch remaining green strips to short sides; trim even.

Step 7. Layer, baste, and quilt. Janet machine quilted a meander. Tack brown 1" button to center of flower. Bind with orange print (see Quiltmaking Fundamentals).
