White-on-white print - 7/8 yd.
Red-on-red swirl print - 1/3 yd.
Piecing the Pillow Case/Storage Bag
Step 1. Referring to Diagram I-A, stitch 10 1/2" x 40 1/2" red-on-red swirl strip to 26 1/2" x 40 1/2" white-on-white rectangle. Make 1. Fold in half (right sides together) as illustrated by dashed line in diagram.

Step 2. Using 1/4" seam allowance, stitch layers together along 2 sides as shown in Diagram II-A.
Step 3. To hem open end (red-on-red swirl), fold 1/4" to wrong side and press (see Diagram II-B). Turn remaining width of red-on-red swirl to wrong side to white-on-white print (II-C); press. Pin to hold in place. Turn pillowcase right side out. Topstitch along red-on-red swirl, being sure to catch hemmed edge that was turned/pinned to wrong side of case (II-D). Make 1 pillow case/storage bag.
