In same manner, stitch dark green texture 1 1/4" x 11 1/2" strips to sides; sew remaining dark green strips to top/bottom. 2. Layer and baste pillow top, batting 19" square and muslin 19" square for quilting method of your choice. Phyllis machine quilted around each element of the printed applique block and in the ditch in each border. She stitched a curlique design in the outer border.

3. Layer quilted pillow top right sides together with dark red print 19" square. Sew around outside edge using 1/4" seam allowance, leaving 10" opening on 1 side. Insert 20" pillow form and stitch opening closed. Note: Pillow form is larger than pillow on purpose. It makes a plumper pillow.
