Sew!
Step 1. Trace Templates A and B on paper side of paper-backed fusible web. Cut apart, leaving small margin beyond drawn lines. Following manufacturer's instructions, fuse to wrong side of appropriate fabrics; cut apart on drawn lines.

2. Finger-press red texture 10" square in half lengthwise and crosswise; use folds as placement guide. Referring to Diagram I, position template fabrics as shown. Following manufacturer's instructions, fuse in place to make Brown-eyed Susan Block. Make 56.

Step 3. Referring to Assembly Diagram, sew 8 block rows of 7 blocks and 6 light green print 1 1/2" x 10" strips each. Alternating block rows with 7 light green 1 1/2" x 74" strips, sew rows together. Trim strips even with block rows.
Step 4. Sew light green 1 1/2" x 85" strips to sides; trim even with top and bottom. Stitch remaining green strips to top/bottom; trim even with sides. Sew gold 1 3/4" x 87" strips to sides; trim even. Stitch remaining gold strips to top/bottom; trim even. Sew green large floral 4 3/4" x 90" strips to sides; trim even. Stitch remaining green large floral strips to top/bottom; trim even.

Step 5. Layer and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice. Michele machine quilted 3 large loops on each petal and a spiral on each brown center, securing the appliqué in place. She outline stitched each flower and ditch quilted the sashing and borders. A meander fills the outer border. Bind quilt with red texture fabric (see Quiltmaking Fundamentals).
