Pinwheel Pastry Pinwheel Pastries
1 package puff pastry dough sheets
1 tablespoon each - assorted jams and preserves
lukewarm water
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Powdered sugar

Thaw pastry sheets according to directions on package. Lay flat on damp
towel and cover with another damp towel until ready for use. With a sharp knife, or pizza wheel, cut pastry into squares (generally 6 per sheet), and place on greased cookie sheet.

Carefully cut from corners of square toward center, leaving about 2" diameterarea in center. Dollop about 1 tablespoonful of your favorite jam or preserves in center of each cut square, then gently fold one corner over center. Repeat on remaining 3 sides, overlapping corners slightly, and dabbing with water to keep corners in place. Lightly apply egg wash with pastry brush.

Bake in 425º oven for 20-25 mins., or until lightly browned and flaky. Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar.
