Tumbling Stars - Page 2 Step 1. Referring to Diagram I, place beige 3 7/8" square on teal 3 7/8" square, right sides together. On wrong side of beige square, draw a diagonal line with marking tool of your choice. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on drawn line and press open to make 2 beige/teal pieced squares. Make 26. Repeat Step 1 using beige and green 3 7/8" squares to make 36 beige/green pieced squares. Diagram I Step 2. Referring to Diagram II, sew 4 beige/teal pieced squares, 4 beige/green pieced squares, and 1 teal leaf 3 1/2" square together to make Tumbling Star Block. Make 9 blocks. Diagram II Step 3. Referring to Assembly Diagram, make 3 horizontal rows of 3 Tumbling Star Blocks each. Sew rows together. Assembly Diagram Step 4. Sew 5" x WOE teal leaf strips to quilt sides; trim even with top and bottom. Sew remaining teal leaf strips to top and bottom of quilt; trim even with sides. Step 5.
