Patchwork Puzzle - Page 2 Step 2. As shown in Diagram II, stitch together 4 pieced squares to make block. Make 12 Step 3. Referring to Diagram III, sew together remaining pieced squares to make 4 blocks. Diagram II Diagram III Step 4. Stitch blocks together with cream 3" x 5 1/2" strips and blue 3" square to make Patchwork Puzzle Block (see Diagram IV). Make 4. Arrange blocks to form center star and sew together as shown in Assembly Diagram. Diagram IV Step 5. Referring to Assembly Diagram, sew blue 1 1/4" x 32" strips to sides of quilt and trim ends even with top and bottom. Sew remaining blue strips to top and bottom and trim ends even with sides. Stitch red 1 1/2" x 33" strips to sides of quilt and trim ends even with top and bottom. Sew remaining red strips to top and bottom and trim ends even with sides. Stitch tan 3 1/2" x 33" strips to quilt sides and trim ends even with top and bottom. Sew remaining tan strips to top and bottom and trim ends even with sides. Assembly Diagram Step 6.
