Planning
Stitch carefully while sewing, using an accurate 1/4" seam allowance to ensure that the pieced border will fit.

... *2 strips 1 1/2" x 58", pieced from 3 width of fabric (WOF) strips
... *2 strips 1 1/2" x 48", pieced from 3 WOF strips
... 24 squares 2 7/8" x 2 7/8", cut in half diagonally to make 48 half-square triangles
... 6 squares 12 1/2" x 12 1/2"

Step 1. Referring to Diagram I, stitch white-on-white 2 7/8" half-square triangles to sides of red texture 2 1/2" square to make pieced triangle. Make 24.
Step 2. Sew small blue floral 4 7/8" half-square triangle to pieced triangle to make pieced square (see Diagram II). Make 24.
