Step 3.
To make Pieced Block, arrange and sew 3 rows using pieced squares, large
blue/rose floral 4 1/2" squares, and yellow small floral 4 1/2"
square as shown in Diagram III. Sew rows together. Make 6.

Step 4. Trace Templates A-C on paper
side of paper-backed fusible web. Cut apart, leaving small margin beyond
drawn lines. Following manufacturer's instructions, fuse to wrong side
of appropriate fabric; cut apart on drawn lines.
Step 5. Finger-press white-on-white 12 1/2" square in half
on both length and width; use folds as placement guide. Referring to
Diagram IV and photo, position template fabrics in alphabetical order.
Following manufacturer's instructions, fuse in place. Make 6 Basket
Blocks. Michele machine buttonhole stitched the appliqué using
red thread. Do likewise by machine or hand (Diagram V).

Step 6. Referring to Assembly Diagram,
arrange and sew 4 block rows using 3 blocks and 2 yellow medium floral
1 1/2" x 12 1/2" strips each. Sew block rows alternately with
3 yellow medium floral 1 1/2" x WOF strips. Trim yellow strips
even with block rows. Stitch yellow medium floral 1 1/2" x 56"
strips to sides; trim even with top and bottom. Sew remaining yellow
medium floral strips to top/ bottom; trim even with sides.
Step 7. To make pieced side borders, arrange and stitch 4 strips
alternating 13 red, blue, and green texture 1 1/2" x 2 1 1/2"
rectangles. Sew 2 strips together with yellow medium floral 1 1/2"
square in between. Make 2 and stitch to sides of quilt top. To make
pieced top/bottom borders, sew 2 strips alternating 20 red, blue, and
green 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" rectangles; sew yellow medium floral
1 1/2" squares to ends. Stitch to top/ bottom of quilt.
Step 8. Stitch white-on-white print
1 1/2" x 58" strips to sides; trim even with top/bottom. Sew
remaining white-on-white print strips to top/bottom; trim even with
sides. Stitch large blue/ rose floral 6" x 60" strips to sides;
trim even. Sew remaining large blue/rose floral strips to top/bottom;
trim even.

Step 9. Layer
and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice. On the pieced
blocks, Michele machine quilted a continuous loop motif with a star
in the center. The background of each Basket Block is meander quilted.
Michele added a continuous loop design on the sashing and each border.
Bind quilt with small blue floral fabric (See Basic
Quiltmaking Instructions). Sew white button to each bow to complete.
