Plan It!
Elayne shares with us a perfect way to frame and hang those wonderful photos you want to share with all your friends. She quilted and decorated each frame with fun stitches on her Janome sewing machine, and even machine stitched a name or personal greeting on each. No alphabet on your machine? Write your words with a black permanent fine-line marker.

Sew It!
1. Fold white-on-white 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips and 1 1/2" x 6 1/2" strips in half lengthwise (see Diagram I-A), right sides out. Center name or greeting on each strip using machine stitched alphabet or hand lettering (See Plan It!).

Diagram I-A
2. With right sides up, align raw edges of folded white 1 1/2" x 6 1/2" strips with long sides of novelty print 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangle (Diagram I-B), sew using a scant 1/4" seam. Repeat process with white 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips on short sides of novelty print rectangle (Diagram I-C) to make photo holder rectangle. Note: Folds of the white strips are turned toward the center of the novelty print rectangle and will hold the photo in place when completed. Photo may be removed and replaced with another as needed.
