3 assorted ivory prints
(pieced blocks) 1 1/4 yds. total
Green/yellow print (blocks, border, binding) 3 1/8 yds.
2 assorted dark green prints (border, butterflies) 3/4 yd. each
2 assorted beige prints (heart backgrounds) 2 yds. total
Light pink print (7 hearts) 1/2 yd.
Medium pink print (6 hearts, border) 3/4 yd.

Dark pink print (12 hearts) 5/8 yd.
Gold print (butterflies) 1/4 yd.

Backing
5 yds.
Batting Queen size

Paper-backed fusible web, 3 yds.
Sewing thread
Monofilament thread (machine quilting)

Planning
Use an assortment of ivory and beige prints. Pat used 3 different ivory prints and 2 beige prints, but did not use equal amounts of each ivory or each beige. Feel free to use your favorites most frequently!

Cutting the Fabric
3 assorted ivory prints
—cut a total of:
... 10 squares 8 7/8" x 8 7/8"
—cut from each:
... 1 square 9 1/4" x 9 1/4", cut in
half twice diagonally to make 4 quarter-square triangles
Green/yellow print
... *12 squares 10 7/8" x 10 7/8"
... *4 squares 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"
... 10 squares 8 7/8" x 8 7/8"
... 1 square 9 1/4" x 9 1/4", cut in
half twice diagonally to make 4 quarter-square triangles
2 assorted dark green prints
—cut from each:
... 6 squares 10 7/8" x 10 7/8"
—cut from 1 dark green print:
... 5 Template C

2 assorted beige prints
— cut a total of:
... 25 squares 8 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Light pink print

*Cut first.

Step 1. On wrong side of assorted ivory print 8 7/8" square, draw diagonal line with marking tool of your choice. Referring to Diagram I-A, place ivory square on green/yellow print 8 7/8" square, right sides together. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked line; cut apart on marked line. Press open to make Half-Square Triangle Blocks. Make 20 total.
