Do likewise if you wish. For the red/blue plaid and blue/beige plaid bows on the beehives, Rhonda tore the fabric to achieve a frayed edge. She tied the strips in a single soft knot for a bow effect. Step 1. Referring to Diagram I, draw diagonal line on wrong side of assorted ivory/beige 2 1/2" square with marking tool of your choice. With right sides together, place ivory/beige square on medium blue print 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangle, aligning raw edges. Stitch on drawn line. Trim and discard excess fabric; press open. Repeat on opposite end of blue rectangle to make pieced rectangle. Make 24 total.
