Green print (stems, leaves)
  1/4 yd.
Green/pink floral (borders)   3/8 yd.
Pink/red plaid (tulips, border)   5/8 yd.
Pink floral (borders, tulip buds)   3/8 yd.
Red solid (borders, binding)   5/8 yd.
Red/white print (border)   1/8 yd.
White solid (background, border)   1/2 yd.
Backing   1 1/8 yd.
Batting   Crib size
Other Materials    
Sewing thread    
Topstitching thread to match tulips, stems    
Monofilament thread (machine quilting)    
Paper-backed fusible web   1 yd.

Plannnig
The fusible web is positioned diagonally on the plaid fabric to make the tulips. Plaid squares are cut straight along the plaid.

*Cut first.

Sew It!
Step 1.
Referring to Assembly Diagram, stitch red 1 1/2" x 12 1/2" strips to sides of white 12 1/2" square; trim even with top and bottom. Sew pink floral 1 1/2" square to each end of remaining 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" red strips. Sew pieced strips to top and bottom of block.
