Step 2. On wrong side of white
3 3/8" square, draw diagonal line with marking tool of your choice.
Referring to Diagram II-A, place white square on dark rose 3 3/8"
square, right sides together. Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked
line. Press open to make pieced squares. Make 24. Sew 4 pieced squares
together to make pinwheel (see Diagram II-B). Make 6.

Step 3. Stitch light pink 3 3/8" half-square
triangles to sides of white 6 1/4" quarter-square triangle to
make pieced rectangle as shown in Diagram III. Make 24. Sew 3 rows
using white 3" squares, pieced rectangles, and pinwheel (see
Diagram IV). Sew rows together to make Pinwheel in a Square Block.

Step 4. On wrong side of white
2 1/8" square, draw diagonal line. Referring to Diagram V-A,
place white square on dark rose 2 1/8" square, right sides together.
Sew 1/4" seam on each side of marked line. Press open to make
pieced squares. Make 16. Stitch 3 rows using white 1 3/4" squares,
pieced squares, and dark rose 13/4" square (see Diagram V-B).
Sew rows together to make Mini Star Block. Make 4.

Step 5. Referring to Assembly
Diagram, sew 4 rows of 3 blocks each, alternating Square in a Square
Blocks with Pinwheel in a Star Blocks. Sew rows together. Stitch dark
rose 1 1/2" x WOF strips to sides; trim even with top and bottom.
Stitch remaining dark rose strips to top/bottom; trim even with sides.
