Planning...
Encourage and help your favorite animal lover make this quick-and-easy quilt. Rather than using binding, youngsters will find it easier to sew the layers right sides together, turn right sides out, and stitch closed (see Step 2, Diagram II).

Step 1 ...
Referring to Diagrams IA and B, stitch yellow 3 1/2" x WOF strip to blue 3 1/2" x WOF strip. Make 2. Press in direction of arrow. Cut into 24 segments 3 1/2" wide. Sew 2 segments together to make Four-patch Block. Make 12.
