Assembly
Planning
Step 1. If your motif pattern is directional, such as the Teddy Bears depicted in the suggested layout, you cannot make identical blocks and simply rotate them into position. Follow the "block assembly" diagrams when using directional motifs to make twelve blocks. If the motifs are not directional, make all twelve blocks as show in the Log Cabin Variation Block Pattern assembly instructions and turn them to form the overall design.
