Sew! Step 1. Sew together 1 each blue, turquoise, green, yellow and red mottle 2" x 8" strips, (see Diagram I). Add green print 2" x 8" strips to top and bottom, and yellow print 2" x 11" strips to sides. Make 8 Rainbow Blocks. Diagram I Step 2. Sew yellow print 2" x 8" strips to sides of novelty print 8" x 8" square; sew green print 2" x 11" strips to top/ bottom (Diagram II). Make 7 Framed Square Blocks. Diagram II Step 3. Referring to Assembly Diagram, arrange and sew 5 rows alternating Rainbow Blocks and Framed Square Blocks. Sew rows together. Step 4. Sew navy mottle 2 1/4" x 56" strips to sides; trim even with top and bottom. Sew navy 2 1/4" x WOF strips to top/bottom. Trim even with sides. Stitch blue print 5 1/2" x 60" strips to sides; trim even. Sew remaining blue strips to top/bottom; trim even. Sew navy 2 1/4" x 70? strips to sides, trim even; sew remaining navy strips to top/bottom; trim even. Assembly Diagram Step 5. Layer and baste quilt top for quilting method of your choice. Cate machine quilted a wave pattern in each navy border with a variegated color thread and a meander over the rest of the quilt.
