| Twelve year-old R.
J. Costellow proudly displays Guys' Weekend (Quick Quilts,
July 2003). This is his first quilt top, made during his visit with
grandmother, Kay Costellow, of Fairfield, Texas. R. J. selected the
fabrics from her stash. |

Sue Chinn of Vancouver,
Washington, made her version of Winter Sampler (Quick Quilts,
January 2001) for her brother Joe's 50th birthday. She added blocks
that drew from Joe's interest in fishing and hunting. Joe is taking
his gift to South Africa where he and his wife will be missionaries
for two years. |
