Quick Quilts - September 2006 Issue Simply Squares (Quick Quilts, May 2003) was adapted by Karla Schumacher of Woodstock, Illinois, as a birthday gift for her baby sitter's daughter, Ashley Fishman. Ashley loves horses, so Karla cut the center squares from several different horse print fabrics.   Sharlene Lyseng of Victoria, British Columbia, made Fishy, Fishy Fun (Quick Quilts, March 2003) for her grandson, Riley. Sharlene loved the pattern and held onto it until her much-hoped-for first grandbaby came along. We think the quilt is almost as cute as Riley!
